Nourishing the Soul: A Worship Album Giveaway

Unsplash By Carli JeanRight now, I am listening to Passion’s new album, “Salvation’s Tide is Rising.” And it is thawing my soul on this winter day.Passion Album

January and February can be long months. Illness and cold weather make us stir-crazy. And the day-in-day-out responsibilities of life begin to feel, well, draining.

Of course, with all the New Years resolutions, many people are making an intentional effort to eat healthier. I mean, wow, all the thought and energy that goes into feeding our bodies…whether in good ways or bad (cough…cough…the PA farm show…my local friends will get that joke)…but we so quickly neglect the nourishment of our souls! And whether we know it or not, our souls need fed!

As much as I would like a week off to “nourish my soul” (preferably somewhere tropical), I don’t have that luxury. So what do I do when the short winter days feel so long? Or when I am going through a season of loss or disappointment or just mind-numbing routine?

In this season of life, I don’t have much “me” time. And when I do get a chance to slow down, I find it hard to focus. So, sometimes I must rely on very small changes–for example, reevaluating the music on the radio or what I watch on TV. Is it edifying? Does it reinforce truth in my life, or does it create anxiety? There are messages EVERYWHERE. Hello, social media. Yes, everywhere.

Protecting our minds is great way to guard our hearts.

So making sure the messages I am feeding my soul are the ones I believe are right and true is important when I am struggling through a tough season. That is why I love albums like “Salvation’s Tide is Rising.” It is music that reminds me to seek God first. And the music my family listens to can make a huge impact, even if it is in the background of our otherwise busy day.

This brand new Passion album contains new studio recordings from best-selling artists, Chris Tomlin, Crowder, Matt Redman and Kristian Stanfill. It features new songs written specifically for Passion 2016 with lyrics that remind me of my soul’s purpose–to seek God first.

And I turn…to Christ alone. I surrender all…And I live for You alone. In my heart and soul, I surrender…I give my life…I’m living for something so much greater.

Nothing and noone. It’s You and You only. Nothing can ever come close.

So, if you are like me, and need some soul nourishment this winter, I have great news! You can win this album by entering HERE!!

So what are some ways you nourish your soul? Especially when the days and weeks feel long? I would love to hear from you, so please comment below!!

  1. Time for myself is rare with a 2 year old, and a six month old…but when I get it, usually early in the morning, I enjoy the sound of silence, a cup of hot tea (at other times it’s cold by the time I get to sip it) and a session of thanking God for the blessings that make up my noisy life.
